108

Today, it was 108 degrees outside....108.  That is just gross (and apparently record breaking)!  We don't even attempt to leave the house on days like this.  When we have to get out, everyone is sweaty and fussy and it's just not fun for anybody.  Instead, we stay curled up in our cave, make huge messes in the house, have dance parties in the living room, change clothes a million times (I swear I need a lock for her closet!!)make silly faces, and just PLAY all day.

Mer added some flair to Libby Kate's activity gym.  Libby Kate really liked it, too!  She laid there forever just looking at the pink and purple boa Mer had draped across the top of it.

Sweet baby girl!

Gracie Belle decided to jump in front of the camera just as I was taking Libby Kate's picture.

Meredith is getting a serious head of hair!  For the baby girl that was bald for so long, she has really grown some beautiful "Tangled" hair as she calls it!

This child of mine...oh my.  She has SO much coordination, walked super early, and can dance like no other...but she is SO clumsy!  Today she was "ass skating" (ice skating) on the tile, with two sheets of laminated paper (just typing that makes me think, duh, I should have stopped her right there) and she somehow fell flat on her NOSE.  Literally on her nose!  Where were her hands to catch her?!?  We kept a cold pack on it and all was fine, but at one point she goes to put the cold pack back in the freezer because it was no longer cold, and turns around and trips over her riding toy and falls again!  She literally turned around and walked right into it, gets up and says "I'm ok, Mommy!  I'm ok!"

She thought it was fun to make silly faces for the camera...

This is her "don't smile" face...trying so hard...

and she just couldn't keep it in any longer!!

She makes me laugh!

So many expressions!

One of my favorite faces of hers!

And of course Gracie Belle had to join in on the silly faces!  Look at that tongue hangin' out and those crazy blue eyes!!

Mer ended the 108 degree day just right - with an ice cream sandwich and a cool bath.  Oh summer time, I have a love hate relationship with you....love the laid back feel, but hate not being able to get outside to play!
